Feminist 5K

In less than a week, the Womens Center of Wake County will be holding a Feminist 5K in downtown Raleigh. You can sign up competitively or recreationally for $30; all proceeds benefit the Women's Center of Wake County. The race will start at Chavis Park (only 7 minutes from Enloe!) and follows a loop along the Little Rock Trail Green-way. Whether you are a veteran runner or simply want to show your support, come out to the event on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 8:00 am.

The Feminist 5K website describes the run as a “fun run/walk/roll/renunciation of the patriarchy.” They define feminism as “the simple idea that women are people and no person is less than any other.” Runner or not, if you support these ideals you should try to come to the event, T-shirts are $5 and children under 12 can run for free.

In their second year the race had 330 runner, so this year let's try to break that record. Bring your family, tell your friends, post about it on social media!
